A host of local businesses enjoyed a cookery demonstration from celebrity Dorset chef Sarah Ali Choudhury, while at the same time raising funds for Dorset Mind.

The room was full as the attendees were shown how to make a fish curry and a very special vegetable bhaji. The event was held at Dorchester Football Club and sponsored by local solicitors Battens Solicitors, while members of the team from Dorset Mind were also there, enjoying the food and networking with local businesses.

Said Sarah Ali Choudhury, “I enjoyed showing how to make a perfect curry. The feedback has been brilliant, and I’d like to thank Dorchester FC for making us so welcome and Nigel Reeve of Marketing West for organising the event.”

The highlight of the evening was when Sarah offered to give a one to one curry lesson at the home of one of the attendees. The offer was auctioned off and won by Paul Appleby of Weymouth. Paul (pictured) bid £80 which will go to Dorset Mind.
