Fairmile Grange is preparing to celebrate National Care Home Open Day with a ‘Fit For A Queen’ event on Saturday, April 21 from 11am –-5pm.

The care home located on Royal Close in Christchurch, is inviting members of the public to join in a variety of fun activities to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. These include a ‘Scone Taste Off’ presented by the Christchurch Community Project and a ‘Crown and Glory’ event, which will see Christchurch’s local scouts help residents make crowns and flags.

Christchurch Music Centre will be performing a selection of big band pieces and Dorset’s La Nova Singers will be singing a variety of classical and opera numbers.

Guests will also be given the opportunity to have a tour and meet with the home manager, Mary Maughan-Otten, and the rest of the care team.
