Great Oaks care home in Bournemouth is celebrating National Care Home Open Day by hosting ‘A Right Royal Knees up’ for members of the public, residents and their family and friends.

The free to attend event will bring members of the community together to celebrate the Queen’s birthday and St. George’s Day on Saturday, April 21 from 11am-5pm at the care home in Poole Lane.

Throughout the day guests can join in a jam-packed schedule of activities including live music from the Spectrum Palm Court Trio, baking St. George’s Day-themed cakes and cookies and an optional fancy dress competition open to all ages.

Ian MacDonald, care home manager, will be on-hand to greet visitors at the event, along with members of the care home team including nurses and carers. Visitors can also take a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities of the building, which is located within a private woodland setting.

Free parking is available onsite. For more information please visit greatoaksbournemouth.co.uk to see a full schedule of the day or call 01202 087444.
