Officers investigating the theft of a wallet at a pub in Bournemouth are releasing CCTV images of the suspect.

At around 10pm on Monday 2 April 2018 the victim, a woman aged in her 20s, was at the Brewhouse and Kitchen on Parkwood Road in Southbourne and left her purple leather wallet on a table as she went to the bar. The wallet contained a bank card, a driving licence and £20 in cash.

When she came back she found the wallet was gone.

Examination of CCTV footage showed a man approach the table at the relevant time and appear to take the wallet.

An attempt was made to use the card at a local supermarket the following day but the transaction failed as the card had been cancelled.

Police Constable Simon Shaw, of Dorset Police, said: “We have carried out a number of enquiries into this incident and have obtained the CCTV footage.

“I am now in a position to release these images from the CCTV in the hope that someone might recognise the suspect.”
