Officers are pleased to confirm that Gary Bines, who went missing in Christchurch, has been located.

Gary was reported missing having last been seen on the evening of Sunday 8 October 2023.

Following searches and enquiries by officers, he has now been found.

We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal.

Officers searching for a missing person in Christchurch are appealing for help from the public to find him.

Gary Bines, aged 53, was reported as missing, having last been seen at an address in Seaton Close at approximately 10pm on Sunday 8 October 2023.

Gary is described as five feet nine inches tall, bald with a goatee beard. He was last seen wearing a light blue Puffa-style jacket, t-shirt, blue jeans and blue trainers.

Inspector Dan Galloway, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Gary’s welfare and we are carrying out various searches and enquiries to try and locate him.

“I am appealing for anyone with information regarding Gary’s whereabouts to please contact us immediately.

“I would also like to make a direct plea to Gary if you see this to please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are as we just want to make sure that you are all right.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Gary’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 9:79.
