As part of the 5th Bournemouth Food and Drink Festival (19th – 28th June) Bournemouth and Poole Sustainable Food City Partnership are hosting a special double bill of Restaurant Hops showcasing some of the best sustainably sourced food in town!

The Restaurant Hops are like a progressive dinner – one night, four iconic restaurants with a course and a drink in each – all for £40 per person. The group of ‘Hoppers’ spend a great evening discovering new places that are doing cool things around local food.

This year’s special Hops are taking place at Bournemouth’s East Cliff on Tuesday 23rd June and Poole Quay on Thursday 25th June, both starting at 7pm.

Kim Boughey, regular Hopper and volunteer host says: “These hops are great fun and we get a really varied mix of very enthusiastic Hoppers. It’s a great way to meet new people and try out some fantastic restaurants that you haven’t been to before. The restaurants involved love to take full advantage of the opportunity to show off their brilliant food, so we always get spoiled rotten!”

As a taster:

The East Cliff Hop will start at The Cottonwood Boutique Hotel where cocktails & canapés will be served on the terrace. Then after a fabulous starter of an Assiette of Lymington Crab at The Miramar Hotel the group will move on to The Green House Hotel for a delicious main of Creedy Carver Duck with plum puree, braised red onion accompanied by an English wine tasting from the Furleigh Estate, before finishing a perfect evening with British Strawberry Tart with artisan vanilla ice cream at The Cumberland Hotel.
