Poole Labour party has described the latest closure of the Twin Sails Bridge as an ongoing ‘farce’, after BCP council revealed today that the bridge will be out of use until the Autumn.
Neil Duncan-Jordan, Poole Labour secretary said: “The previous administration in Poole completely failed to get to grips with fixing the Twin Sails Bridge and had no idea how much the repairs would cost or when they would be completed. Now it seems another fault has come to light and the new council equally has no effective or speedy solution. Meanwhile the people of Hamworthy suffer from increased traffic congestion and pollution. It’s a case of different council, same old bridge.”
