Leading West Dorset mediator, Brendan Salter, has expanded the role of his business with a new business name to reflect the changing mediation marketplace. The organisation, formally known as Salter Mediation, has changed its name to Veritas Dispute Resolution. The new name was announced at a recent mediation training seminar held at the Inspirations Conference Centre, Poundbury, near Dorchester.

Said Brendan Salter: “The world is changing with more businesses looking to mediation to solve their disputes. The word ‘mediation’ doesn’t show the real picture. The name change is to reflect this. Research shows that people are confused about what mediation means. Quite simply we are dispute resolution specialists. Research also shows that the sooner someone tries to resolve a dispute the more chance there is of success. The sooner someone contacts us the better. We wanted to make this easier by having a name that spells out what we do. The feedback has already been very positive from both colleagues and potential clients.”
