Liberal Democrats hold Colehill East in by-election

 

The Liberal Democrats have held the Colehill East seat vacated following the death of Don Wallace in the East Dorset District Council by-election held on 17 July 2014.

Barry Roberts won the seat for the Liberal Democrats polling 742 votes. The Conservative candidate, Graeme Smith, gained 326 votes while the UK Independence Party candidate, David Mattocks, had 184 votes.

The turnout was 33.7%.
