Officers investigating an assault in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At approximately 6.45pm on Thursday 3 October 2019 the victim – a man aged in his 20s and from Weymouth – was on North Square when he was approached from behind by two men and hit on the back of the head causing him to fall to the floor.

The victim had his head slammed into the ground. He sustained grazes to his head that required hospital treatment.

The suspects were described as wearing black clothing.

Investigations Officer Adam Carter, of Weymouth CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious to please get in touch.”
