Bournemouth’s first ever Metropole Market announces a lively and eclectic mix of free entertainment set to takeover Holdenhurst Road on the 24th September 2017.
With less than a month to go, Bournemouth’s upcoming Metropole Market has unveiled an exciting mix of free live entertainment including local musicians, artists and performers who are set to make the market an exhilarating and interactive experience for all visitors on Sunday the 24th September.
The market promises several locations along Holdenhurst Road and outside prominent Lansdowne businesses that will be offering an eclectic range of family-friendly entertainment. This includes a specially created Entertainment Arena located outside Bomo which will feature the internationally acclaimed and mesmerising street performers, Pantheatrix, alongside charismatic comedy duo Street Comedy.
Outside the Anvil rock bar, there will be live performances from local artists including Si Genaro, a folk and pop musician known for his appearance on BBC’s The Voice. Xander Allen, lead singer of Bournemouth-based Indie- rock band, Xander & the Keys, will be amongst the acts performing outside The Old Fire Station.
In the BU International Courtyard, Latin music will include Mambossa a newly formed local band, Uri an acoustic flamenco artist and Latin musician Roberto. Outside Waverly House, music will include Miss Annie, a Vintage Style Vocalist, and Real Vintage, a specialist company which performs music from World War One to the 1950s.
In addition, a dedicated Kids Zone will include ceramic art workshops, face painting, UK Children’s Entertainer of the Year Mr Merlin & Okey Dokey the Dragon, marvellous magician Jamie Jigsaw and Dr Balloonman.

There will also be entertainment weaving up and down the street throughout the day. This will include a live art mural from Ricky Also, talented jugglers, Carol Childs a theatrical stilt walker and WWII re-enactors, who will be camped out with several vintage military vehicles.
