Officers investigating a serious injury road traffic collision in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

The incident occurred at around 5.10pm on Monday 26 February 2024 in Albany Road involving a white Vauxhall Corsa and two pedestrians.

One of the pedestrians – a woman aged in her 70s – sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The second pedestrian was not injured.

Police Constable Stephen Pratt, of Weymouth police, said: “I understand several members of the public came to the aid of the pedestrians, but they have not spoken to police.

“I would ask these people to please get in touch, as well as anyone else who witnessed what happened.

“Also, if you were driving in the area and captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, please contact Dorset Police.”
