The Feel Good Festival is coming to Boscombe Beach for a day of live music, activities, refreshments and races on Saturday 24th June. The festival is organised by YMCA Bournemouth and Dorset Blind Association and will run all day from 11am to 11pm.

Lucy Culkin, Business Development Manager at YMCA Bournemouth, commented: “We’re all looking forward to a fun-filled day. There are free activities for all the family on the beach from 11am including HIIT Circuits, Zumba, Dance Fitness, Yoga and Clubbercise. The idea is that we get everyone out and active to promote health and wellbeing in the community.”

From 5pm there will be races with medal and goodie bags for all the runners. A kids race is at 5pm with 1K and 2K options and there’s a five mile race plus the Southbourne Zig Zag challenge for adults at 6pm which can be run in groups as a relay. At 9.30pm there are 5K and 10K options for the Bright for Sight Night Run. Entry fees start from £5 for kids and £12 for adults with all proceeds going to the YMCA Bournemouth and the Dorset Blind Association.

“We’ve tried to organise it so there’s something for everyone” said Lucy “if people want to come down and just enjoy the music, food and sunshine they can, or they can come and do free classes on the beach and for the runners amongst us we have options for kids, adults and groups, it really does promise to be a great day.”
