Translation and Interpreting provider YourCulture has hired its first apprentice under the Government’s nationwide apprenticeship scheme. YourCulture has recently opened a new office within Dorchester and is hoping to recruit a number of staff over the next year.

The apprentice, Harry England, will have the opportunity to learn about running a business, the translation industry as well as having a full grounding in customer service and sales. The apprenticeship lasts for one year and leads to an NVQ level 2.

YourCulture’s Sales Director, David Cheeseman, had the following to say about the scheme: “The apprenticeship scheme gives a great opportunity for young people to get experience in the workplace whilst working towards a qualification. It provides a great base for them to build the rest of their career.”

“The apprenticeship program does require a business to invest in the apprentice with training and mentoring but it’s a great way to get young employees into your business. We have found Harry to have loads of energy and passion for the role which is great to see.”
