Very angry!! I have to vent this!!
I am absolutely fed up with men who think they can say inappropriate comments to women and then think they can get away with it! In the past two days, I have had 3 sets of delivery drivers come to collect various items. Each and everyone of them said something in appropriate. Today the 3rd one opened his mouth and boy did shit hit the fan…. It’s funny because I know I work in quite a male orientated environment and I’m sure they are surprised when they see a female concierge, but that’s no excuse.
The guy said “oh you’re quite hot for concierge, it’s a shame you won’t be sleeping in that bed with me” I turn around and say ” you’re an inappropriate , disgusting pig, now go away I’m refusing to help you” (sorry to pigs because you are beautiful animals, but it’s the first thing that came to my head)
But it’s still not ok that this happens, I used to be somewhere in the region of 15.5 stone. I wasn’t happy at that weight so I decided to change that, I now weigh just over 10 stone. I am really happy, I mean I have to tone up a little. But I finally feel good about myself, but then for men like that to come and say inappropriate comments make you feel so small and disgusted at yourself. It makes all the hard work feel worthless because they decided to open their dirty little mouths.
I am sure this happens to men too in the work place and I’m sorry if an incident like this has ever happened to anyone… But it shouldn’t. If it does stand up for yourself!
