Yeovil Man Hospitalised Following Collision In North Dorset

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward following a road traffic collision in North Dorset.

At around 6am on Monday 25 November 2024, a vehicle collided with the porch of a pub on the A37 Yeovil Road in Melbury Osmond.

The driver of a blue Peugeot 207 – a man aged in his 40s from Yeovil – attended hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

Police Constable James Janssen, of Dorset Police, said: “We are investigating this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.

“I would also urge anyone with a dashcam who was driving in the vicinity during the morning of Monday 25 November 2024, to please check any footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.

“Finally, I would like to appeal directly to the motorist of a vehicle that was driving nearby at the time of this collision to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
