One has to question this Tory confessional haemorrhaging. It is hard to remember how it all began but the desperation to appeal to young people may be at the heart of it.
It comes to something that those same young people are being crushed by Tory policies across the board but to then believe that chat about needles and spoons and powdery nostrils will suddenly make it alright either underestimates young people or tells us how out of touch they are.
