A breakfast event at Williams Thompson Solicitors LLP in Christchurch has raised over £1100 for the Autism Wessex ‘Big Brekkie’ campaign.

Welcoming a multitude of friends, family, clients and supporters into their Bridge Street Offices, Williams Thompson Solicitors LLP has hosted a successful ‘Big Brekkie’ in aid of Autism Wessex. Providing a mini feast of homemade cakes and pastries, including tea and coffee throughout the morning, Williams Thompson raised in excess of £1100 for the charity.

Hosted by members of the William Thompson team, funds were raised from the sale of Big Brekkie raffle tickets and generous donations. A selection of fresh pastries were also kindly donated by the Captain’s Club Hotel and Spa. The breakfast event was part of the Autism Wessex, ‘Big Brekkie’ campaign which is taking place throughout the month. Passionate supporters of the charity, Williams Thompson are headline sponsors for the campaign for the third year in a row.

Suzanne Kadziola, Practice Manager & Partner at Williams Thompson Solicitors said:

“We had a lovely morning and it was great to see so many people turn up to support our event. We raised an excellent sum for Autism Wessex and now want others to do the same. Thank you to everyone who attended.’’

To help raise further funds and awareness for the charity, Williams Thompson is now calling for other businesses to join in by hosting their own ‘Big Brekkie’s’ this April. Anyone interested in hosting a Big Brekkie will simply need to choose a time, date and location for their event. By encouraging donations in return for breakfast, Autism Wessex can continue to provide high-quality specialist services. Every year they help countless people from across Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, and Somerset manage the effects of autism and its associated difficulties.

Emily Pike, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Autism Wessex comments:

“It was a pleasure to be welcomed into the Williams Thompson offices. The number of people in attendance was great and they had an excellent assortment of breakfast treats available to guests! We would like to thank the whole team for their ongoing support.’’

A long-established firm, Williams Thompson combine traditional values with a friendly, modern approach and high standards of professional practice. With an expert Family Law Division, the whole team understands the challenges families face when dealing with autism.
