Officers searching for missing man Andrew Budden have very sadly found a body.

The 39-year-old went missing from Blandford on the afternoon of Thursday 5 September 2019 after finishing work.

He failed to return to his home address in Walpole Road in Bournemouth or attend work as expected on Friday 6 September.

He was reported missing at 11.38pm on Thursday 5 September 2019 and searches were carried out on Friday and throughout the weekend.

Very sadly, as a result of these searches, a body of a man was located at 11.25pm on Sunday 8 September 2019 in an area of woodland off Queens Park Avenue in Bournemouth. While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be Andrew and his family has been informed. Our thoughts are with them and his friends at this very difficult time.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been notified.
