We here at Clwyd South Labour Party will soon be giving you plenty of reason of hope, and what The Labour Party under the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn, has to offer you, your family, your friends, your community & your country. But as today, hearing the lies, after lies after lies of Boris Johnson’s speech, we must point out just how and why his words are lies.
This is merely to point out facts, NOT to tell people they are stupid etc. We totally get that most people *at best* are only casually interested in politics, so if they have a negative opinion of Corbyn & Labour, and a positive opinion of Johnson & the CONservatives, on face value, we get that. It would be hard not to have such opinions given the absurd level of media collusion in relation to both men (for Johnson, against Corbyn).
This is also not just an attack on Johnson’s character and the Tories, we will focus on what their policies have done. So, IF you decide to vote CONservative/Johnson at the forthcoming General Election, all we would respectfully ask is that you consider the following facts before doing so:
The CONservatives came to power in 2010. Since 2010…
* Food bank usage has gone from 41,000-odd to several million. You have to be referred by a GP/SS to qualify for using the food bank, and are limited to 3 times in 6 months.
*The CONservatives have borrowed more money in those 9 years than every Labour government in history. Combined. Borrowing is not the issue, but borrowing AND implementing Austerity shows just how bad re economics they are.
*Two of their former chancellors serving during this period-Osborne & Hammond, have admitted austerity was a POLITICAL choice, not an economic necessity. A choice. To balance the debt created by their mates, they did it via cuts. To quote Alexei Sayle: “The idea being that the financial crash is because Wolverhampton had too many libraries…”. Austerity has never worked. Anywhere. Ever. As almost every economist will tell you-putting aside it is morally reprehensible-economically, it is stupid. Very stupid & counter-productive. Indeed, maybe this explains why they have missed EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR OWN FISCAL TARGETS.
*Record Suicide rates
*Openly racist. Encouraging racism. Denying endemic racism.
*100,000+ NHS vacancies with thousands of doctors & nurses fleeing, and, due to austerity, no people there, trained, to replace them
*Teachers fleeing education, many at the end of their tether
*Record Homelessness
*Home ownership now becoming a pipe dream for many
*Record Armed Forces Veterans Homelessness & lack of Mental Health support
*Total hollowing out of our police, and even now not even replacing the what they have cut.
*Confirmed that AT LEAST 130,000 deaths caused UNNECESSARILY as a DIRECT consequence of austerity. As confirmed by the BMJ, and as condemned by the UN. Who also said the CONservatives are CONSCIOUSLY making these decisions with their policies.
*60% of those in poverty are IN WORK. People working to ‘earn’ their poverty. The State having to pay towards very low wages
*The UK is now the most unequal country in all of Europe
*Record insecure, low paid employment. There seems absolutely no point at all of having ‘record employment’ if people are getting poorer through working
*UN condemning the Tories for breaching the human rights of disabled people
*An insanely bad record on building houses-especially social housing
*In some areas in the UK, life expectancy is GOING BACKWARDS. For the first time in modern times in the UK.
*Diseases/conditions, including malnutrition, returning after decades of being largely eradicated in the UK.
*We are now entering a SECOND UNPRECEDENTED DECADE of stagnating/receding wages. For the first time ever. To the extent that EVEN BY THE GOVERNMENT’S OWN FIGURES people, on average, will be worse off in the mid 2020’s than they were in 2007!!!
*Schools having to literally beg parents for money, and schools having to close early because they can’t afford to stay open 5 full days per week. IN THE 5TH RICHEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!
*A continued REFUSAL to ‘officially’ remove the NHS from any future trade deals with Trump & the USA. WHY?! Is it because, maybe, this has been their plan all along..to open up OUR NHS to American private investors…
*Taken money from the disabled, ill and terminally ill, to cut taxes for multi-millionaires
*Whichever way you voted in the EU referendum, please never forget this: Our country is divided like never, ever before. There is no good way out of this. People are angry, and some violent. Massive increases in racism & fascism. The Tories called for the Referendum purely for party political reasons. They alone have messed up all negotiations. They are on to their THIRD Prime Minister since the the vote. Hate crime is up. Families are split. Friends are split. Their solution? Lie to the Queen, break the law, shut down democracy…to try and force through a ‘No Deal’ which no one voted for-it wasn’t mentioned, campaigned for or on the ballot paper-so how can anyone have voted for it? It is as undemocratic as Revoke without a mandate. Johnson is NOT ELECTED, has a ‘majority’ of MINUS 43, with literally NO MANDATE from ANYONE to do this. If you truly do believe in democracy, prove it. Whichever way you voted-reject both No Deal & Revoke with no mandate.
*The CONservatives are now financed by people, on the far right often, who stand to make billions from No Deal.
*Johnson himself has been sacked twice by his own party for lying. He gave the address of a journalist for a friend knowing said friend wanted to beat him up. He removed the whip from 26 Tory MPs, including the grandson of his hero, Winston Churchill. He is an adulterer, can’t even confirm how many children he has, is very much part of the multi-millionaire Establishment who plans to scrap inheritance tax and his first policy declaration was a tax cuts for millionaires. We rejected him here in Clwyd South when he stood as Tory candidate. If he is willing to lie with ease to his family, partners, children and party, imagine what he is willing to do to you & your family & friends. Not to mention the recent sexual assault allegations
So, if you voted to Leave, and you are frustrated, we understand. But No Deal is as undemocratic as Revoke. The EU have already agreed in principle a Brexit Deal with Corbyn & Labour. Labour will then ask The People if they want that deal, or if they want to Remain. A democratic vote. Johnson offers undemocratic No Deal only. The Lib Dems offer Revoke only, if they won. The Lib Dems will NOT rule out a coalition with Mr No Deal Johnson, but won’t even support Jeremy Corbyn as PM for a few days to support EXACTLY what they claim they want-stopping No Deal. Obviously it is ENTIRELY party political & hypocritical with both Johnson/Tories & Swinson/Lib Dems.
So, even if you have bought into the outright lies about Corbyn-NO, he is not pro IRA murders/violence, NO he is not a Russian stooge, NO he is not a Czech spy, NO he is not an anti-Semite, NO he cannot be both totally incompetent & a sinister genius, NO he does not want to scrap the armed forces….YES he is on the Privy Council-where you have to be vetted by our secret services as it gives you access to the top level of UK secrets-the Queen made him ‘Right Honourable’-so unless our Queen & our secret services are ‘terrorist sympathisers’ etc, then please stop believing the lies about Corbyn & Labour and then think WHY they lie… He is strong-he defeated a coup and is the most lied about politician of all time. He is on his THIRD Tory PM..
So, before you vote in any forthcoming election, please do take some time to consider that if you want to vote CONservative, why all the above is worth it. Why the above enthuses you to support the far right elite. So, we have provided both policy & reasons of trust/character as to why voting for anyone other than Labour will usher in this evil.
WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU BELIEVE THE PARTY WHO MADE ALL THESE CUTS, UNNECESSARILY, CONSCIOUSLY, WHO SAID LABOUR’S PLANS FOR SPENDING WERE “A FAR LEFT, UNELECTABLE, UTOPIAN MARXIST FANTASY”, YET NOW PRETEND TO WANT TO OUT-SPEND LABOUR. WHY WOULD ANYONE BELIEVE THEM?! CLEARLY, HISTORICALLY, EVIDENTLY, DEMONSTRABLY, THESE ARE LIES FROM JOHNSON & THE TORIES.
THE CONSERVATIVES VOTED AGAINST THE NHS. LABOUR CREATED IT. FROM SCRATCH. HOW DARE BORIS JOHNSON LIE & CLAIM THEY ARE THE PARTY OF THE NHS, WHEN THE RED CROSS AND UN TELL US THE NHS IS IN CRISES BECAUSE OF THEM. BECAUSE OF THEM!!!
We must resist the rise of this type of false-flag, nationalist racism. We must. Labour are the only ones who can stop this. Only two people can be Prime Minister. Please, let us choose hope and people above lies & corporate power.
