Coroner Seeks Public Assistance Following Death Of Man In Weymouth

The coroner for Dorset is seeking the assistance of the public to find any family member of a man who died in Weymouth.

Stephen Simister, who was 63 years old and lived in Hamilton Close, died in the town on Sunday, 9 February 2025.

His death is not being treated as suspicious, and no police investigation is needed into his death.

Coroner’s Officer Sarah Harrison said, “We are not treating his death as suspicious; however, we have not been able to locate any members of his family.

“If anyone has any knowledge of his family members, please contact us as soon as possible at 01202 794288.”
