Theatre Alibi present ‘Mucky Pup’

A funny and touching story about

a very tidy boy, a very scruffy dog and a very special friendship…

Ben loves order and cleanliness, but his life is thrown into chaos when Chatty, a free-spirited and very grubby dog comes to stay…

The only thing Ben really likes is swimming. He likes the clean, clear water and swimming up and down in his own lane with no one bothering him. One weekend Ben’s Mum borrows Mrs Grainger’s great big, smelly, scruffy dog Chatty. At first it’s a disaster – Chatty promptly wees on the carpet, puts dog hair everywhere and barks very loudly. But somehow a curious friendship is about to be forged. There’s plenty of fantastic doggy mayhem as Chatty drags Ben round the park, chases everything that moves and rolls in yucky, unmentionable things!

Exeter based Theatre Alibi tours to some of the best-known theatres in the country and has an excellent reputation for producing imaginative and high quality work for families. Mucky Pup is written by Associate Writer Daniel Jamieson and directed by Theatre Alibi’s Artistic Director Nikki Sved, who between them have been responsible for most of Alibi’s much-loved shows over the past twenty years, including last year’s adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s I Believe in Unicorns, which also toured with Artsreach.Performed with beautiful live piano music and props and puppets too, few will be able to resist Chatty’s charms. See this very special friendship forming at a village hall near you this autumn.
