One of Dorchester’s most famous identical twins is hitting the road and training hard for this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon on 24th April 2016. Paul Ackerman, who runs Dorchester based Bathroom Inspirations with his identical twin bother Patrick Ackerman is running the Virgin Money London Marathon in memory of his grandfather who sadly passed away last year from prostate cancer. During his final months, Paul’s Grandfather spent a lot of time with the wonderful nurses at Weldmar hospice. To say thank you for all the support and care they gave, Paul is donating all the money raised to Weldmar Hospicecare Trust. If you would like to help Paul, you can come to Bathroom Inspirations’ Road To London coffee morning on Saturday 5th March from 10am, where there will be tea, coffee, cakes and a raffle with plenty of prizes in aid of Weldmar or you can donate via Paul’s ‘Just Giving’ page www.justgiving.com/PaulAckerman/

Paul Ackerman says “My grandfather was a very special man and he wanted to say thank you to the nurses at Weldmar for all the love and support they gave him and us during his final months. He even wrote and published a book for them in that time, so I wanted to do something too. I’m a keen runner so I thought what better way to do that than running the Virgin Money London Marathon.”
