Back by popular demand for 2018, Little Fins for pre-schoolers, has its first event of the year on Wednesday February 21 at Poole’s Dolphin Shopping Centre.

Next week’s Little Fins will have a woodland theme, where children can join Otto the Owl for interactive storytelling and soft play from 9.30 to 11.30am. There will be beanbags, rugs and cushions provided to provide extra comfort for the storytelling sessions. Little guests will be able to paint and decorate animal masks in-keeping with the woodland theme. Colourful stickers and a range of pens will be available to decorate the colouring sheets.

Youngsters can have their photo taken with Otto the Owl and have a go at ‘Hoop a Bluebird’ by throwing soft mini hoops onto the freestanding bird and developing their aim.

The shopping centre’s free monthly parent and child activity session takes place every third Wednesday of the month. Each Little Fins activity morning includes meet and greet guest character appearances, a pop-up soft play area and mini art and craft sessions. There will also be storytelling and musical entertainment.

Little Fins is run by the award-winning Crafty Arty World and takes place in an area outside the Beales department store. Booking is not required to attend.

John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, commented: “Our popular Little Fins events are always well attended. We’re delighted to offer this free activity session for parents and their children every month, with the first event of the year taking place next week.

“It’s the perfect opportunity to bring your children for their chance to socialise. We provide a safe and welcoming environment for local parents to bring their children to enjoy free interactive play with a large variety of toys and an assortment of activities, including art and crafts.”

The following Little Fins event is scheduled for Wednesday March 21 with Lilly the Ladybird and a flower themed session.
