Healthwatch Dorset are holding a week of events in Weymouth to find out more about local health & care services.

Joyce Guest, Chair of Healthwatch Dorset, explains: “We’re planning a week full of events to promote Healthwatch in Weymouth. We’ll be out talking to local people about health & care services to find out what works well and what doesn’t. If you live in Weymouth, please tell us what you think of GP services, care homes, dentistry, mental health, home care & your local hospitals at any of our events or on social media using #HWDRoadshow”

You can find Healthwatch Dorset information stands throughout the week:

Monday 16th April 10-12 with the Bus Shelter, Beach Car Park, Preston Road

Tuesday 17th April 10-1 Royal Crescent GP Surgery 1.30-4 Weymouth Community Hospital

Wednesday 18th April 10-1 Weymouth Library

Thursday 19th April 10-3 at Weymouth College

Friday 20th April 10-1 Safewise 2-4 Dorset Mind Support Group

Healthwatch Dorset works with local people to discover what’s really going on in health and care services across the county. They offer free independent information to help you find your way through the system and use your feedback to influence the way local services are provided.

Over the last year Healthwatch Dorset has made improvements to the local NHS complaints system, worked with children & young people to gather their feedback, and carried out a volunteer led mystery shopper project to find out more about local access to GP services.
