A man who was seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Poole has sadly died.

Dorset Police received a report at 2.28pm on Friday 10 June 2022 of a collision in Turlin Road involving a single decker bus and a pedestrian.

Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, and the pedestrian – a local man aged in his 40s – was taken by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to serious injuries. Very sadly, he died in hospital on Saturday 11 June 2022. His family has been informed.

Sergeant Sarah Jones, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly died at this extremely difficult time for them.

“We owe it to them to establish the full circumstances of what happened and our investigation into this collision remains ongoing.

“I would continue to encourage any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please contact us.”
