Man With Serious Injuries Following Collision Near Sherborne

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a serious injury road traffic collision near Sherborne.

At around 6pm on Friday 1 May 2026 a collision occurred on the A30 Sherborne Causeway at the junction with Lox Lane, involving a silver Kia Sportage and a blue Yamaha motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to hospital by air ambulance for treatment.

Police Sergeant Paul Hind, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are investigating the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.

“I would also ask that any motorists with dashcam who were travelling in the vicinity around the time of the collision please check their footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.”
