Volunteers will be out litter-picking in Wool, Bovington and East Burton this weekend. Groups will meet at 10.30am on Saturday, 21st October, at the D’Urbeville Hall, Colliers Lane, Wool, and at the phone box at Andover Green, Bovington, and at East Burton Hall, Burton Road, East Burton.

The litter-picks las 1.5-2 hours, tea and coffee will be on offer afterwards at the D’Urbeville Hall. Everyone is welcome. Volunteers are asked to wear sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing and to bring their gardening gloves. Registered assistance dogs only are welcome.

These community litter picks are organised locally and are supported by Wool Parish Council and Litter-free Purbeck. Litter-free Purbeck is part of a county-wide campaign, Litter Free Dorset, a group of local organisations, charities and community groups that work together to reduce the social, economic and environmental impacts of litter. They do this by campaigning to stop littering and through community litter-picks.
