Officers investigating a report of an assault in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and urging the victim to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report from a member of the public who witnessed an assault between 3.50pm and 4pm on Saturday 6 April 2024 on Franklin Road.

It was reported that a woman was dragged into an alleyway at the rear of Abbotsbury Road.

Police Constable Jamie Ralphs, of Weymouth police, said: “At this time, we have not been able to identify those involved and I would ask the woman to please come forward so we can find out what happened.

“I am also appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what took place to please get in touch.

“Finally, if you have any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the relevant timeframe, please contact Dorset Police.”
