Brewery Square in Dorchester welcomed a record number of visitors over Easter weekend with free Easter Egg Hunts and a visit from Mr. Bloom.
Visitors were up 29% over Easter weekend compared to last year’s figures. The majority of people came to the Square on Good Friday to watch Mr. Bloom’s performance.
Charlotte Spracklen, centre manager at Brewery Square, commented: “We were delighted to welcome Mr. Bloom to the Square on Good Friday. Hundreds of excited children gathered with their family, all eager to get their squiggle on.
“There was plenty of audience participation as well as a special ‘meet and greet’ with Mr. Bloom after the show for our lucky competition winners.”
Easter Egg Hunts took place around the Square over all four days, from Good Friday to Easter Monday. Children up to 15 years old were able to participate, picking up a form from the Concierge Office and then hunting for the eggs. On completing the form and returning it, children were given a free Easter prize.
Charlotte added: “We hope to have helped create eggstra special memories for families this Easter and we’re proud to have reached record figures over the long weekend.”
