RockReef all-weather indoor adventure attraction on Bournemouth Pier has launched RockStars, an after school adventure training club. The RockStars Club is a 6-week programme and consists of 1 hour of instruction per session each week.
Youngsters can aspire to conquer 4 different stars and levels of achievement, each one gained over a 6-week programme – Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Stars. Sessions take place on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 4.30 – 5.30pm for 4 to 9 year olds and 5.30 – 6.30pm for 10 to 15 year olds. The cost of membership is £48 for the 6 week period.
Juan Vasquez, Marketing Manager at RockReef enthused, “We are thrilled to be launching RockStars. We were encouraged to launch this club as we’ve had so much positive interest in the new RockReef centre from local families. We’ve enjoyed an incredibly busy half term and we feel the timing is right.”
Juan continued, “The RockStars Club is full of great adventure activities, packed with fun as well as being physically and mentally challenging. RockStar members will be able to build their confidence and progress through climbing, learning about harnessing, clipping and caving, as well as learning about briefing and rescue procedures. All these exercises will help to build first class communication skills as participants progress through the different grades. Parents will be able to relax and watch their youngsters in action in the Coffee Reef Café on the first floor, which looks out over the activities.”
The first RockStars programme will start on Tuesday 11thNovember and will cost £48 for a six-week course. Participants are able to join the club after it has started. All the RockStars will also receive a RockStars T –shirt, wristband and Certificate of Achievement. Bookings can be made via the web site www.rockreef.co.uk at RockReef Reception or by calling 01202 983983.
