Officers searching for a man from Poole are pleased to be able to update that he has been found safe and well.

Andrew Sheppard had last been seen yesterday evening, Wednesday 27 February 2019.

He was located in the Purbeck area this evening.

Officers searching for a missing man from Poole are asking for the public to help find him.

Andrew Sheppard, who is 54 years old, was last seen at his home address in Surrey Road yesterday, Wednesday 27 February 2019, at around 10.15pm. He was reported missing this morning, Thursday 28 February 2019, as he did not return home.

It is believed that Andrew left in a blue Ford Focus with the registration GD56 BOF.

Chief Inspector Lance Cliff, of Dorset Police, said: “We have information to suggest that Andrew was very upset when he left and we are becoming very concerned for his welfare. He has also left necessary medication behind.

“Andrew may have driven to Portland and officers are currently searching the area in an effort to find him.

“If anyone has seen Andrew or the car since last night, please contact police urgently.”
