Thousands of music fans are ready to ride a wave of nostalgia this weekend as the Ultimate Festivals get underway by the shores of Poole Harbour in the beautiful surroundings of Upton Country Park.

With two days of top UK tribute acts, the hits are guaranteed by many of the biggest names in international rock and pop.

“We all know about this summer’s Oasis reunion, but if you missed out or couldn’t stretch to the inflated ticket prices, there’s no need to miss out – we have the next best thing with the brilliant Oasiss tribute… and it’s right on your doorstep!” says festival organiser Ben Dyas.

The music bill is themed on each day, with Rock Anthems on Saturday and Pop Icons on Sunday. Tributes include Oasis (Oasiss), AC/DC (Dirty DC), Queen (UK Queen), Pink Floyd (This Is Floyd) and Guns n’ Roses (Guns n’ Roses Experience) on Saturday; with David Bowie (The Bowie Experience), Blondie (Blondied), Michael Jackson (Michael Starring Ben), Duran Duran (Duran), Elton John (Absolutely Elton) and Ed Sheeran (Ed Sheeran Experience) on Sunday.

Family day tickets are available now at just £47, and kids (under 5s) get in for a quid.

“Upton Country Park is a stunning location, and we’ve kept prices low so nobody needs to miss out on the classic summer festival atmosphere in the great outdoors -bring the family and have a party!” adds Ben.

There’s plenty going on away from the music as well, with funfair rides, street food traders providing a host of tasty treats from around the world, and the bars including craft beers and ciders, a cocktail station and a gin bar, as well as a full range of soft drinks.

On-site parking is bookable in advance, and gates open at 1.30pm.
