The horrible suffering of those Caribbean Britons affected by the Windrush scandal is but the tip of a horrific iceberg of human suffering in “hostile Britain”.
But do not make the mistake of blaming this on the hapless Rudd or the robotic May.
They are not the causes but rather the servants of the true masters of “hostile Britain” – the tiny cabal of Murdochian far-right tax-haven based UK media-billionaires – Murdoch, Dacre/Rothermere, Desmond & the Barclay Brothers.
For decades they have poured out ceaseless vile propaganda scapegoating & demonising everybody from asylum seekers to the disabled, in order to further their “hostile Britain” agenda, that enables them and the 1% to monopolise more and more of the UK’s common wealth.
Their Murdochian manifesto is to have zero taxation/regulation for the 1% and to achieve this they need to:
destroy the welfare state
destroy the NHS
destroy workers’ rights
destroy environmental protections
destroy the trade-unions
destroy the European Union
destroy help for the disabled
destroy public education
destroy independent thought in our universities
destroy Corbyn
destroy the Green Party
destroy the climate emergency movement
destroy the planet’s biodiversity
destroy social housing etc etc
By creating demon after demon on their front pages, the far-right billionaires manipulate the working and middle classes into voting against their own interests again and again,
This is just like they do in the US where they have successfully enraged huge swathes of the middle and working classes into voting for Republicans and some Democrats, who then destroy Obamacare and any moves towards making healthcare available for all.
The Murdochian cabal have even corrupted the few media outlets not owned by the far-right billionaires, as more and more top news-editor posts in the Guardian, BBC, ITV etc are now taken by former Murdoch/Mail/Telegraph editors.
And in one way or another, these media billionaires have subjected our political parties to their “hostile Britain” agenda.
They do this via the bribery of promising editorial support or through the destruction or intimidation into silence of their political opponents by a vast array of character assassination techniques or by controlling what is “acceptable” political discourse or by suppressing and distorting coverage of the climate emergency.
And step by step Murdoch and Co have successfully and devastatingly created a “hostile Britain” where the horrific suffering of the Windrush generation has become the norm for great swathes of the UK public.
The already implemented Murdochian “hostile Britain” agenda includes:
The disabled dying or living in terror following assessments by the hostile privatised assessors with targets of people’s benefits to cut.
The increasing numbers of homeless on our streets, due to destruction of social housing.
The families and couples torn apart by hostile immigration laws designed for the rich.
The pain of British children and mothers whose immigrant fathers/partners have been deported instead of imprisoned when guilty of crime.
The deaths of immigrants refused healthcare by our formerly free-to-all NHS.
The grief of the tens of thousands of families whose loved one’s are dying every year from horrific transport pollution cancers and lung-diseases, as the Murdochians force their annual tax-cuts for toxic diesel/petrol through every year.
The hunger of millions of kids whose families have been forced into poverty, as Desmond forces through billions in welfare cuts to fund yet more billions in tax-cuts for off-shore corporations.
The agony of millions of diabetes and inactivity disease epidemic sufferers, as Dacre et al, divert yet more billions into hostile road-building corporations, whilst failing to build a national cycling network that would enable healthy lifestyle for millions.
The pain and humiliation and loneliness of the elderly whose home-care is getting cut to the bone.
The destruction of permanent jobs as the billionaire class move millions of workers to the hostile gig-economy, where even thousands of university lecturers no longer have job security.
The tears of the families whose teenagers are being murdered on London’s hostile streets, after the Tories fired 15 out of every 100 London police to pay for tax cuts to Murdoch’s billionaire class.
The devastation of the millions already losing their homes and lives across the planet from the hostile ravages of the climate emergency, as the billionaires promote ever more genocidal fossil-fuel usage.
The list of those suffering from Murdoch’s “hostile Britain” goes on and on but its largely invisible to us, as the Murdochian media-cabal only allow their chosen demons to be seen, whilst Britain’s obscene iceberg of pain floats unseen on an ocean of tears.
So let’s make the Windrush generation horror our line in the sand.
Let us start to melt the “hostile Britain” iceberg of pain.
Let’s stop allowing our democracy being hijacked by the “hostile Britain” agenda.
Let’s kick the Murdochites out of the BBC and the Guardian and then out of all of our mass media.
Let’s stop voting for politicians afraid of standing up to Murdoch.
Let’s stop voting for politicians privatising our NHS.
Let’s start voting for politicians who will not collude in implementing Murdoch’s Brexit Coup.
Let’s start voting for politicians who will not remove the local election franchise from 3 million European UK residents.
Let’s vote for politicians who will put tackling the climate emergency at the centre of our fight to prevent an even more “hostile Britain”.
Let’s start on May 3rd in the local elections.
And then let’s imagine the “hostile Britain” iceberg being melted and replaced by a “loving Britain”.
Let’s show Murdoch that is a “loving Britain” which will make us all healthier, wealthier and happier, even the tiny Murdochian cabal!
