17+18 July – Judicial Review, High Court, London, against Dorset CCG’s plans – on three counts:

i) closure of beds before staffed replacement services are in place (closing 245 acute beds and 1/3 community hospital beds inc Portland) (many operations cancelled last winter due to bed shortage)

ii) unsafe travel times to access A&E and Maternity services (Poole has around one million summer visitors)

iii) aspects of the ‘consultation’ carried out on these changes were so misleading as to render the consultation unlawful.
