In response to: An Open Letter to the Dorset Echo by Lucy Wyman: Another Angle 

I agree. Careless, reckless and fast – driving needs to be discouraged.

However, none of these factors were relevant in my father’s accident, so featuring close – up pictures of his car, the ambulance, fire service and Police trying to retrieve his car are worthless in an educational context and should never have appeared in the public domain.

In contrast, Brenda Holmes in 2014 made public her son David’s go pro helmet footage of his fatal accident  ” in a bid to stop others going through the same agony of losing a family member”.

The fundamental difference here is that she chose and gave her consent for the press to publish; we did not.
