Zone Fitness will open on Monday, 29th January 2018 at Avon Close, Granby Industrial Estate, Weymouth.  The new fitness centre will occupy in excess of 19,000 square feet and is expected to generate 13 new jobs.  The new centre will be equipped with fitness equipment from premium performance suppliers in the USA. Developers DJ Property have invested over £1million in the new fitness centre and has recently appointed Neil Solmon as General Manager at Zone Fitness.  Neil has over 30 years’ experience in health club management, including local authority & large private fitness chains.  Neil also has vast experience as a personal trainer, a UK & International Fitness Presenter for group exercise in dance fitness and bespoke training concepts.

The new fitness centre is planned to open to the public on Monday 29th January 2018 with a membership of over 1500.  Zone Fitness will be able to facilitate up to 4000 members in total, once the centre is up and running to capacity.  Introductory Membership packages will be on sale in December with special introductory membership offers and no joining fee.
Members will benefit from a new concept of introducing unlimited classes, live & virtual.  Members will be able to take part in a class whenever they want and use the vast amount of equipment available.  A new Zone fitness app will available to members in order that they can keep constantly up to date with news; fitness plans & quick, easy access to the fitness centre.  Members must be over 16 years of age.

Zone Fitness is unlike any other gym in the area, partly due its large size & the array of equipment, but it will benefit from a lot of natural light, due to the 360 degree range of anti-glare windows surrounding the building, this will give members great views of Chickerell whilst working out.

Neil Solmon, General Manager of Zone said “This is a fantastic project and an exciting time for the residents of South Dorset, a bespoke, state of the art fitness facility suitable for everyone. The club will offer the latest in training facilities, equipment and group exercise within a friendly fun and motivational culture.”   Mr Solmon when on to say   “We have set our standard high and have included premium equipment.   The team have invested a large amount of  time and money in the design of the fitness centre, to make sure that members experience near perfect conditions, with a state of the art air management system which will be visible as part of the industrial chic design of the centre.   The air management system will keep members comfortable whatever time of year.
The gym has been designed to have large specifically zoned areas, so you can easily target the areas you feel you need to work and improve on.    The centre will have 2 large studios for group classes, the Revolution Zone, a spin studio which holds 23 bikes and the Survival Zone, which will be a boot camp area.   The Relaxation Zone will display a 55” TV screen, gym towels & padlocks for lockers. It will not only be members that have the opportunity to relax in the area, but members of the public can also spend time there.”

Mickey Jones, Chief Executive of DJ Property said “Zone Fitness is just what South Dorset has been waiting for.  We have invested time in and design of the equipment and the interior of the fitness centre to ensure that the atmosphere, conditions and ease of use is second to none for all of our members.   We will be running over 100 fitness classes each week, which will give members flexibility and choice when choosing their fitness regimes and targets.”
