Social media is awash with those who simply do not believe Boris Johnson has been ill or as ill as the government are trying to make out.

Judie and Cherie speak for a great many:

Judy Gardner: ‘Exactly Nadine! Most people take longer to get over it. Hmmm are you telling us with your medical expertise, that he probably did not have it ?’

Cherie Trounce: ‘This illness knocks you for six, he would not be able to do anything yet, if he had it in the first place.’

As many have also commented Nadine Dorries is not exactly an intellectual heavyweight but even she must have read back her comment and thought to herself ‘hang on a cotton picking minute here…’

No! You are probably right.

Dorset Eye got national recognition for not clearly stating that an account of the suspicious nature of Mr Johnson’s behaviour was ‘satirical’. And yet almost every Facebook page has someone saying it is all a lie. Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat all have people making the same claims.

Perhaps it is because the world and governments have become so cynical that we don’t believe them unless we are devoid of rational and critical thought.

Either way this government lies and lies and never apologises. In my book that makes them dangerous.
