Winchester Molly’s Den will be in the spotlight when a new episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip airs next week.

The programme will be the last in the series and air on BBC Two at 7pm on Tuesday, January 29th.

Vintage lovers at Molly’s Den Easton Lane emporium site were delighted when antiques expert Philip Serrell, and One Show and Watchdog star Michelle Ackerley, turned up back in the summer.

The pair made quite the entrance, driving a classic Mercedes 220 SE Convertible. They were greeted by Molly’s Den’s new owner John East-Rigby and Manager Stephen Berry, before having a look around for bargains. For the show, celebrities team up with antiques experts to find hidden treasures to sell at auction for charity. All the money raised goes to Children in Need.

Philip and Michelle spent a few hours looking around and had a cup of tea at the café before taking their bargains to the till to make the final deal. Following the successful trip to Molly’s Den the team went off to an auction in Tring. New owner, entrepreneur John East-Rigby said the team was looking forward to seeing the episode.

He added: “We’re looking forward to finding out what the items sold for and how much they raised for such a great cause. We were delighted to welcome Philip and Michelle here, and had a wonderful day filming with them.

“We can’t wait to see Molly’s Den on the TV, it’s such a great place to find a hidden gem – we’re very proud of it and all the hard work the team and traders put into making it so special. Anytime the team would like to come back, they are more than welcome – it was great fun.”

Molly’s Den have three emporiums along the South Coast, including the Winchester branch, and each is filled with hundreds of traders selling vintage, retro and antique collectables and pieces. To find your own gems at Molly’s Den, or to find out more about joining the team as a trader, visit the emporium at Easton Lane in Winchester – it is open daily from 10am, and for more information or to hire a space there visit mollys-den.co.uk.
