Officers searching for missing Weymouth man Colum Siddons have sadly found the body of a man.

Colum, 33, was reported missing at 12pm on Monday 27 August 2018. He was last seen at his home in Minton Place around four hours earlier.

A search of the area was carried out on Monday afternoon and evening and throughout the night.

Very sadly the body of a man was discovered in a wooded area nearby earlier today. Although his body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be Colum and his family have been informed. Our thoughts remain with them all.

His death is not being treated as suspicious. The coroner has been notified.

Colum’s family has thanked those police officers and members of the public for their help with the search. They have requested privacy at this very difficult time.
