Charles Ross’s brand-new show One Man Stranger Things, which comes to Lighthouse Poole’s Centre for the Arts on 11 October, parodies Seasons 1 and 2 of the Eighties-based Netflix horror / sci-fi TV series that has intrigued, engrossed and spooked millions of viewers worldwide.

As you watch him flail about the stage using just his voice and his frenetic physicality to recreate the much-loved characters and entire storyline, prepare to have your Upside Down turned right side up!

When Ross debuted his hilarious show One-Man Star Wars Trilogy at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2006, its sell-out, critically acclaimed performances quickly established him as a popular favourite. On repeat visits to the Fringe and on UK tours, One-Man Lord of the Rings was added to his repertoire and now his latest production, One-Man Stranger Things, will tour throughout the UK this autumn.

Once again directed and co-created by his long-time colleague and fellow über-nerd TJ Dawe (Toothpaste and Cigars, A Canadian Bartender at Butlins), One Man Stranger Things will appeal to anyone who has marvelled at the kooky 1980’s setting, the mythology and the weirdness – all of the factors which made the TV show shine.

Since he first performed One-Man Star Wars™ Trilogy as a 35-minute comedy sketch in Toronto, Canada, Ross has taken his ‘One-Man’ shows to theatres, festivals and fan conventions around the world, and One-Man Stranger Things looks set to replicate that success. You’ll laugh till you bleed from your nose – just like Eleven!
