The irony of the lockdown, the tier system and the holistic policy of the Conservative government is that the three most infectious places remain open with normal hours. Whereas in March, when the first lockdown was introduced, entering supermarkets was rigidly controlled and schools were shut. Now with the highest death rates since April and infection rates going through the roof again the schools are open and fostering illness and death.

Whatever one thinks of the lockdown and the tier system is irrelevant. It is a government policy with fines… attached. Whatever one thinks about repeated government ministers and advisors breaking lockdown rules it is government policy with fines… attached. Therefore one would expect that any government who imposed such regulations and sanctions would at least take it seriously.

They would shut schools and ensure all strict protocols in supermarkets were adhered to. But alas they have not, will not and people will continue to die each day in their hundreds.
