Officers investigating a road traffic collision in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at approximately 3pm on Monday 12 December 2022 of a collision involving a silver Ford Fiesta and an orange Vauxhall Mokka in Lanehouse Rocks Road.

The driver of the Ford and a passenger in the Vauxhall both attended hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.

Police Constable Jamie Ralphs, of Weymouth police, said: “I am appealing for anyone that may have witnessed the collision, or the moments leading up to it, to please come forward.

“Also, I am keen to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.

“Finally, I am aware this incident caused traffic build up in the area and I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while emergency services dealt with the incident.”
