This is a comment from a local I read the other day:
‘We love Weymouth. When I walked along the coastal path I saw 79 dog poos, what is it with people do they not see the plastic that are all around us on our shores and in the country side? And I’m not talking about dog poo bags. But litter that doesn’t disappear. Take a walk around Weymouth or drive along any of the main roads.
Bags full of cans and just thrown away. So please excuse me if I seem a little put out. When everyone starts clearing up behind themselves then please have a go at dog owners. And food waste will create bacteria, rats, mice and plastic will still go into the food chain because crisps, nuts or fruit packets don’t biodegrade, neither do plastic carriers, bottles, forks, sweet papers, party poppers, nappies, wet wipes or many other items we collected on Sunday.

Please look at the positive changes we can achieve rather than keep mentioning the negative few. And yes I know there are so many more important things going on in the world but we can make a change which could effect the world.
Please watch Plastic Tide. It so frightening what we are doing to our world and the future for our children and grandchildren.
