According to Wikipedia Katie Hopkins is described as such:

She was a contestant on the third series of The Apprentice in 2007; following further appearances in the media, she became a columnist for British national newspapers, including The Sun and MailOnline.

In 2015, she hosted her own television talk show If Katie Hopkins Ruled the World, and appeared on the fifteenth series of Celebrity Big Brother. The following year, Hopkins became a presenter for the talk radio station LBC. In 2021, she joined the UK Independence Party (UKIP).

Hopkins’ social media presence and outspoken views, especially on UK politics, social class, migrants and race, have attracted controversy, criticism, media scrutiny, legal issues, protests and petitions. She has been accused of racism by journalists, advocacy groups and politicians for her comments about migrants. In 2016, Mail Online was forced to pay significant damages to a Muslim family whom Hopkins had falsely accused of extremist links. In the 2017 libel case Monroe v Hopkins, Hopkins was required to pay damages and legal costs to Jack Monroe after making defamatory remarks on Twitter.
Her role at LBC was terminated in May 2017 following her comments on Twitter about the need for a “final solution” — a term used by the Nazis to refer to the Holocaust — after the Manchester Arena bombing; she later altered it to “true solution”, describing the earlier version as a “mis-type”.
Hopkins was permanently suspended from Twitter in June 2020 for what the company described as “violations of our hateful conduct policy”.’
Knowing all this Weymouth Pavilion and doubtless many other debased booking agents have engaged Hopkins to appear at their venue in May 2023.
However, the reaction is possibly not what Weymouth Pavilion expected. Local Facebook users have not wasted time in venting their opposition:

‘What next Weymouth Pavilion, Jack booted thugs goose stepping as her backing dancers? Why allow this vile homophobic racist to peddle her vitriol to a paying audience!! You’ve sunk to an all time low!’
‘Or is this a crafty way to identify all the little Englanders, bigots, racists, etc locally from the ticket sales?’
‘Why have you removed my comment… if she is allowed freedom of speech on stage why can’t I on here?? To close to the truth…. Stop promoting “hate/vileness” and shame on you for even letting her host this in our town.’
‘I guess they’ll have to shut down the beach due to increased pollution levels.’
‘Be a shame if a few hundred protesters turned up and made a noise.’
‘Who would … why… we have enough hate in the world? Weymouth Pavi really?’
‘Unlike Weymouth Pavilion button pressed.’
‘“Bloody funny” eh?
Who is that a quote from?
Enoch Powell? Heinrich Himmler? Carol Thatcher? The Grand Wizard? Tommy Robinson? Oswald Mosley? Leopold II of Belgium? Jacob Rees-Mogg?’
‘This has to be satire surely?!? Who on earth would want to sit and listen to this vile attention seeker on stage for any length of time?!’
‘My colonoscopy today suddenly feels like the best choice here.’
‘I’d rather spend the evening vomiting.’
‘With all the talented acts and you have to give this woman a stage?’
And on and on the comments go until a real Nazi has his say:
‘So the rabid woke Nazis who promote freedom of speech are now apoplectic that someone they disagree with has the temerity to actual do it and expose all this WOKERY for what it is and they don’t like it oh dear.’
He will be the front row with his flies undone having a jolly old time.
If the Pavilion is going to book twisted bigots to appeal to other twisted bigots perhaps it is time all the decent people boycotted it. Most of their acts are tributes to the dead and dying anyway.
We have exceptional local talent
and they go all ‘rent a bigot’.

Anyone who reads this article really needs to take a look at Katie Hopkins YouTube videos, as indeed does the author of this drivel.
Why would i want to waste even a second of my life watching the YouTube videos of such a hate filled bigot? Why would you (Doug Randle) wish to suggest we should?
If you don’t like someone like Katie Hopkins then don’t go to her show but don’t stop the people that do that’s communist attitude and should not be tolerated. I’m not seeing her because I don’t want to but if I did I would and it’s nothing to do with you.
