Police Very Concerned for Missing Girl in Dorchester

Officers are appealing for information from the public as they search for a missing teenage girl last seen in Dorchester.

Dorset Police received a report raising concern for the welfare of 17-year-old Poppy, who was last seen in the area of Queens Avenue at around 10am on Thursday 21 May 2026.

She is described as five feet four inches tall and of slim build with shoulder-length wavy hair. Poppy was wearing black leggings and a black top with flowers on it.

Inspector Matthew Love, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out detailed searches as we are keen to locate Poppy and make sure she is OK.

“I would urge anyone who has information regarding her whereabouts to please contact us immediately.

“I would also like to make a direct appeal to Poppy if you see this, please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are. We all just want to check that you are all right.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Poppy’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 999, quoting incident number 21:117.
